"Slime movies" generally fall under the body horror or creature feature subgenres of horror, often blending with science fiction or eco-thriller elements. However comedy films can be included, too. These films feature on a viscous, amorphous, or jelly-like substance—whether alien, scientific, natural or ecological in origin—that either consumes, digests, or mutates organic life, or just grosses you out.
