DML Rating: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆ - good

"Recently, I made a promise to myself that the next time I got a boyfriend, I'd be on the lookout for red flags. And if I saw any, I would do the healthy thing, and I would murder him. And killing kids? Kind of a red flag." - Harley Quinn

Why watch this? James Gunn's version of the Squad is a tad better.

Plot Summary: Task Force X, known as Suicide Squad, is assembled by Amanda Waller, and comprised of incarcerated supervillains sent on a high-stakes mission to the South American island nation of Corto Maltese. Their objective is to destroy Jotunheim, a Nazi-era prison and laboratory housing a dangerous secret known as Project Starfish. The mission is fraught with peril and betrayal, forcing the mismatched group to contend with a new anti-American regime.

Dad's Preview: This raunchy romp through DC's universe is basically MORE... The Bad? More bad language and gore. The Good? More action, comedy and anti-heroes. Starro! AND - more Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Somehow, the upcoming DC Gunn-verse will incorporate this version of the Squad there, too. We'll see how that works out. However, this film is good entertainment for the super-hero-loving fan, but definitely not their children. For me personally, an adult who still loves the innocence of comic books, that is a sad thing. Sometimes more is not always better.
