actors are dressed in the style of that period. It's often
considered a subgenre of period drama or historical drama,
and frequently emphasizes the visual aspects of the era,
particularly in costumes and set design. These dramas can
range from lighthearted romances to serious explorations of
historical events and societal norms. For this site's
