"So many times in my
life I screwed up: I've talked when I should've listened, I've
been harsh when I should've been tender." –
Roy McBride
Why watch this? This
is sci-fi, space exploration film you should see.
Plot Summary:
The story follows astronaut Roy McBride as he undertakes a
daring mission into deep space to locate his long-lost father, a
legendary explorer whose rogue research station has become a
threat. Traveling across a lawless Moon and a desolate Mars, Roy
must navigate both the external physical dangers of the cosmos
and the profound emotional weight of his father's complex
legacy.

Dad's Preview:
It seems recently that actors of this generation want to
be a part of their own space odyssey. Matt Damon went to
Mars in
The
Martian (2015). Ryan Gosling has been to space
twice in 2018's
First Man and 2026's
Project Hail Mary. In this sci-fi
adventure/drama, it's Brad Pitt's time to shine. In a
near future, he embarks on a mission to find (and stop,
if necessary) his lost astronaut father. The CGI-effects
are crystal-clear brilliant, as we repair a space
antennae, race along the moon's surface and approach the
planet Mars. As the film moves along, and our hero
approaches his destination, we become aware of a more
intimate journey: one man's attempt to reconnect with
his estranged father. It does get a little long at
times, but still remains a nice film to add to any space
collection. |
