Why watch this? True
love gets a second chance.
Plot Summary: Nine
years after a serendipitous night in Vienna (Before
Sunrise, 1995), American writer Jesse and French
environmentalist Céline reunite in a Parisian bookstore during
his European book tour. As they walk through the streets of
Paris, the former lovers eagerly reconnect and grapple with the
romantic choices that pulled them apart in the past. Their
fleeting afternoon together turns into an intimate, revealing
race against time as Jesse's scheduled flight back to the United
States rapidly approaches.

Dad's Preview:
This is more of a story continuation than a sequel (sequel
sounds cheap). In the original film, we intimately met
Céline and Jesse, then spent the day with them in
Vienna. Here, they meet nine years later in Paris, and
again there's a ticking clock. This is such a sweet
encounter, and I found their conversations so familiar.
Watching their reconnection warmed my heart because I
honestly want these two to be happy. This great romance
story excels because of its honesty and it takes on all
topics. It is enthralling in its presentation, and a
no-brainer for date night... it also leaves you wanting
more. |
