Walker street, Princeton. Mr. Straley, who was one of Princeton's oldest and most prominent citizens, died Tuesday afternoon in a Washington hospital after an illness of several months.

His parents were Delilah Burnside and Harrison W. He was on the board of directors of Bluefield college, the Bristol (Va) Preparatory school and of the Baptist Orphanage of Roanoke, VA., of which his father was one of the founders.

Mr. Straley was a lifelong member of the Baptist church in Princeton, which his mother helped to establish, and was the author of several books on the Baptist religion. He was also an author on several books on the history of Southern West Virginia and was the Mercer county member of the West Virginia Historical Society.

Surviving him are a son, Harrison Wilson Straley III, of Washington, two grandsons, a sister, Mrs. Kate Mahood, several nieces and nephews and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
