James G. Durham enlisted in the Confederacy on Sep 2, 1861 as a Private. His unit was Company G, 28th Infantry Regiment North Carolina. He was a POW on May 12, 1864 at Spotsylvania Court House, VA. He was confined on May 15, 1864 at Point Lookout, Saint Mary's County, MD (now a State Park).
