				Why watch this?
This South Boston tale exposes organized crime and how, once you
are in, it won't let you go.
				Plot Summary: Set in
Boston, this crime saga centers on Doug MacRay, a bank robber
who finds his life complicated when he starts a relationship
with a woman he held hostage during a robbery (His face was
covered, so she has no clue). He attempts to leave his criminal
life behind, but the Irish mobster he work for, and his
volatile best friend, Jem Coughlin, make escape near impossible.
Simultaneously, the FBI is closing in, forcing Doug into a
corner he may not get out of alive. Dad's Preview:
For his directorial debut, Ben Affleck, returns to his home turf
				in South Boston,
and brings forth a compelling film that kinda re-started his
career. This crime thriller does a lot right. It's pacing is
perfect, as are the robbery scenes, each tightly choreographed
like a brutal ballet. Besides the action, there are also great
moments that enrich the characters. Jeremy Renner gives an
amazing performance as that guy, you know, the one who
ain't afraid to kill or be killed. I am a bit confused as to why
more hasn't be written about Blake Lively's performance as
				Doug's ex-girlfriend - she knocks the white-trash, Southie
bargirl role out of Fenway Park.
