Why watch this?
This slick super-thief flick is very entertaining.
Plot Summary:
Thomas Crown, a Scottish billionaire, orchestrates the daring
theft of a priceless Monet painting from a New York City museum
for the thrill of the challenge. Catherine Banning, a sharp
insurance investigator, immediately suspects Crown and begins a
sophisticated game to prove his guilt. While attempting to catch
him, the two engage in a seductive, high-stakes romance that
blurs the lines between professional investigation and personal
attraction.
Dad's Preview:
It's a bit hard to immerse myself into the exciting world of
billionaire art thieves, or, actually billionaires in general.
However, I will do my best. This film is centered on a romantic
game of cat-and-mouse between a good looking, thrill-seeking art
collector, and a good looking, risk-taking insurance
investigator. Their interactions are very steamy, and part of
the fun is that we are never quite sure who is using who. There
are a lot of tightly kept secrets. There's a nice, rewarding,
unpredictable ending (by that I mean, "Man! I did not see
that coming."). This hot, romantic heist film is fun to
watch and the actors seem to enjoy themselves. Give it a go.
