Why watch this?
This could easily be titled Dumb and Dumber... Again. And
it's pretty darn good.
Plot Summary:
Brennan and Dale, two 40-year-old immature, out-of-work
losers, suddenly become stepbrothers when their single
parents marry. They initially hate each other, of course,
manifested in the most childish ways possible. Eventually, they
become pals, chiefly because Dale stands up to Brennan's
arrogant brother, Derek. Their new friendship does not,
however, prevent additional disasters to the newly combined
family. Dad's Preview:
From the
same creative team and actors that gave us
Talladega Nights (2006), we are served a second heaping
helping of that style of comedic ass-holery. I, for one,
really think these movies are a blast. Perhaps, it's witnessing
grown men act like poorly behaved 10-year-old
brats. I'm accustomed to Ferrell's child-like style, and I
continue to be impressed by John C. Reilly - man, that guy
really cracks me up - he portrays a moron like the nobody's
business. That said, if you don't find this pair's antics to be
hilarious, you might want to skip out on this flick.
