DML Rating: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆ - good

"I know what it feels like. It feels good. The power. Everything. But you'll lose yourself. It'll destroy you. Let it go." – Spider-Man to Eddie Brock

Why watch this? ... the third Spider-Maquire is pretty darn good!

Plot Summary: Peter Parker is finally finding a balance between his life as a superhero and his personal relationship with Mary Jane Watson. However, his life becomes complicated when he's forced to confront multiple threats, including Harry Osborn seeking revenge and a new villain, Sandman. Peter also encounters an extraterrestrial symbiote that enhances his powers but darkens his personality.

Dad's Preview: It was originally panned by critics, but I feel Spider-man 2 set an impossible bar to reach. This film, with the same director and all the original cast, carries its weight and then some. Peter Parker still has too much to juggle... then he's taken over by the Venom symbiote and it turns his guilt into a quest for revenge against Uncle Ben's killer. Thomas Haden Church is excellent as the mentally-tortured Sandman. There may be too many plot lines, but having the full cast present for some awesome action sequences more than makes up for it. Peter Parker aggressively hamming it up as an emo-stud in a dance club is priceless.
