Why watch this? All
the spy-stuff, and explosions and people running around.

Dad's Preview:
After
Casino Royale (2006), I decided that I'm fine with the
gritty Daniel Craig as 007. These films have dispensed with all
the comedic silliness of past generations and we've returned to
the raw and brutal basics. This adequate second Bond film has
everything you'd expect in a big budget action thriller, maybe
even a little too much. I find that my favorite moments are the
small interactions, where the characters expose their feelings
and vulnerabilities. Thankfully, there is plenty of that here. I
also really like Judi Dench, as Bond's sassy supervisor M. She
loves Bond, but can't let him know it, so she rides his butt to
stay within the boundaries... good luck with that. This Bond,
like those before him, makes his own rules. |
