				Why watch this?
This is one hell of a sci-fi film. Strong female characters,
flying creatures and introducing the smoldering Vin Deisel.
				Plot Summary:
A space transport ship carrying crew and passengers, including a
dangerous criminal, crashes on a desolate planet where it is
perpetually day due to three orbiting suns. The crash kills most
of the passengers, leaving a small group of survivors, including
the pilot, the criminal, a bounty hunter, a holy man, and a
young girl. They discover that the planet's seemingly lifeless
exterior hides a terrifying secret: a deadly species of
creatures that emerge to hunt in the darkness of the infrequent
				total eclipse. Dad's Preview:
A very thematically dark thriller, where a space junket becomes
stranded on a remote desert planet. Their cargo includes a
violent criminal named Riddick. As the danger grows, so does the need
for anti-heroic Riddick's unique set of skills. This film is fast-paced, with
well-realized characters. I do particularly admire that the
threat, though quite vicious, appears to be an organic species,
				akin to 500 lb. locusts.
