Why watch this?
It's sweet and bittersweet, and yes, Ms. Roberts became a thing.
Plot Summary:

Mystic, Connecticut, navigate the summer after high school

Dad's Preview:
This intelligent chick-flick is a perfect date night film with
a few very interesting plot lines. The focus is three
teen friends who work at "A Slice of Heaven", a local
pizza joint. One loves a guy going nowhere, one dreams
of college and falls for an older, married man, and one
just wants to find a decent guy. We get to see their
tears and joys, as things occur around them. The film really is deeper than it has to
be and that makes it all the better. This was the
incredible Julia Roberts'
(and her massive head of hair) big breakthrough role. |
