				Why watch this?
Hitler's sweeping arm of Nationalism was instantly intolerant of
				non-believers.
				Plot Summary:
The Roth family leads a quiet life in a small German Alpine
village in 1933. However, as Adolf Hitler rises to power, the
Nazi regime's influence infiltrates their lives, dividing the
family and impacting their friends. Amidst the turmoil, a family
friend becomes entangled in the unfolding events as they face
the profound effects of the rising Nazi era. Dad's Preview:
Filmed primarily in 1939, this was one of Hollywood's first
Anti-Nazi films. Of course, the Nazi government was furious and
they banned all MGM films in Germany at that time. In the film, Hitler
becomes chancellor. A college professor, who refuses to preach the Aryan
doctrine of racial purity, is boycotted, then severely beaten. People are
forced to join the movement, or face dire consequences ("Only
a Sith deals in absolutes." - Obi Wan). This film focuses on
				a few who resist.
				 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer; Loew's Inc.
