				"You women are always
raising hell about one thing when it's something else you're
really sore about. Don't you think it's about time you told me
what put the burr under your saddle about me?" - George W.
McLintock to his estranged wife Katherine
				Why watch this?
It's a sprawling Western comedy from the Duke and his crew.
				Plot Summary:
George Washington "G.W." McLintock owns a large ranch on the
Mesa Verde. His wife, Katherine, up and left him two years ago,
returning back East, without stating a reason. His
headstrong daughter, Becky, is also away at college. G.W. is a
straight-shooter with homesteaders and Native Americans alike,
and is well-respected. When his daughter and wife both return to
the ranch, flaunting their socialite snobbery, G.W. is
determined to work some things out. Mainly, he wants his
stubborn wife to admit the reason for her long estrangement. Dad's Preview:
				Based loosely on Shakespeare's

The Taming of the Shrew, this raucous Western comedy has
just about everything, including a massive brawl ending in a
giant mud pit. Many folks don't know that Wayne could do comedy
				- this movie should remedy that misconception. It is also great
to see Wayne and O'Hara on screen again, rekindling a little of
				the magic from
				The Quiet Man
				(1952).
