				"Now for the first time,
I've begun to wonder - could this be the way for me? A man or
				woman at work;
some furrows in a plowed field; a bit of sand,
sea, or sky - these are subjects so difficult, and at the same
				time
so beautiful, that's it worth spending one's whole life
				trying to capture the poetry
				that's hidden in them." -
				Vincent Van Gogh
				Why watch this?
It is an incredible film about a brilliant artist tortured by
				mental illness.
				Plot Summary:
This story traces the life of Vincent van Gogh, depicting his
early life as a preacher and his eventual turn to art as a means
of expression. He grapples with societal rejection, tumultuous
relationships, and the isolation of his artistic vision,
supported emotionally and financially by his brother, Theo. Van
Gogh travels through Europe seeking understanding and
inspiration, notably forging a complex friendship with fellow
painter Paul Gauguin, before facing a tragic decline in his
mental and physical health. Dad's Preview:
How could a man so troubled paint some of the most iconic images
to ever enthrall the world? Van Gogh's tragic story is
painful to watch, yet so immersing. Portrayed here by the
intense Kirk Douglas, we get an intimate sense of the man, and
the art he struggled to bring forth. We must travel this journey
into insanity to emerge in the glowing light of pure, colorful beauty.
