"All I want in exchange for my services is the right to hunt one of the tyrannosaurs. A male, a buck only. How and why are my business." - Roland Tembo

Why watch this? It's always great to enjoy Jeff Goldblum in peril, and his constant wise-cracks.

Plot Summary: Four years after the disaster at Jurassic Park (1993), a second island known as Isla Sorna, where the dinosaurs were bred, has become a thriving ecosystem inhabited by prehistoric creatures. Driven by a desire to exploit the dinosaurs for a new theme park, John Hammond's nephew leads an expedition to capture specimens from the island. Meanwhile, Dr. Ian Malcolm and a research team, sent by Hammond, journey to Isla Sorna with the goal of documenting the dinosaurs in their natural environment and thwarting the exploitation attempts.

Dad's Preview: The film sequel takes Ian Malcolm back into danger where two factions are at odds: One's purpose is to study the huge beasts and preserve their habitat; the other has employed big game hunters to trap and transport the animals to a new theme park in San Diego (that sounds like a good idea). There are many dino-encounters, ridiculous chase scenes and, for the most part, attempts at character building. It does fail to live up to the original film, but it's fun in an amusement park kind of way.
