Why watch this?
I love good flicks about a guy maturing into a man.
Plot Summary:
Jerry Maguire, a successful sports agent, experiences a moral
crisis and writes a mission statement advocating for fewer
clients and more personal relationships, which leads to his
firing. Undeterred, he decides to start his own agency with the
support of only one colleague, Dorothy Boyd, and one client, Rod
Tidwell.
Dad's Preview:
I had to come back around to this film. I boycotted Tom Cruise
for a while - just too full of himself, and that whole
scientology thing. In the last few years, I've softened. The
dude is one talented actor. Here he's a cocky sports agent...
who gets fired and loses his mind. As he battles to bounce
back, he starts to fall for the shy girl. She's a young, single
mother who lacks a lot of confidence. It's a great RomCom that
will warm the hardest heart. And this was Renée Zellweger's
first major role.
