Why watch this? Some
moments in this film are truly scary.
Plot Summary:
Trish and Darry Jenner are driving through the rural countryside
on their way home for spring break. Their road trip quickly
turns into a nightmare when they witness a mysterious figure
dumping what appear to be bodies down a sewer pipe near an
abandoned church. Driven by morbid curiosity, they stop to
investigate, only to realize they have become the targets of an
ancient, unstoppable, and terrifying predator.

Dad's Preview:
It must be agonizing for filmmakers to dream up a new,
creative way to have an indestructible entity running
about murdering teenagers. There was
Halloween,
Friday the 13th,
Nightmare on Elm Street, and
Saw
- all worthy slasher entries. This film's premise, I
must say, is awesome. The Creeper, as we learn he
is called, is a truly terrifying creature and will scare
the heck out of you. I was completely shocked by the
ending. However, I do think this horror flick
would have graded better had they revealed the
antagonist later in the film - you know, less would have
been more. Regardless, you'll have to keep the lights on
during this gory fright-fest. |
