				Why watch this?
It's one of those sweet, innocent films that don't get made
				today.
				Plot Summary:
Heiress Ellie Andrews escapes her domineering father, who
disapproves of her impulsive marriage, and attempts to travel to
New York to reunite with her new husband. On a cross-country bus
trip, she meets a cynical, unemployed newspaper reporter, Peter
Warne, who recognizes her from news reports about her
disappearance. He offers to help her evade the detectives in
exchange for an exclusive tell-all story. As they navigate their
journey, encountering various adventures and misadventures,
their initial animosity evolves into a mutual appreciation. Dad's Preview:
As innocent as this little Rom-Com appears today, it caused
quite a ruckus back in 1934. On the big screen, men and women never slept in the
same room. Heaven forbid! The confident Clark Gable and witty
				Claudette Colbert
are certainly fun to watch, as they banter back and forth in
this screwball comedy. The film won
the Best Picture Oscar. My mother old me that this film
was the origin of her lifelong crush on the handsome Gable.
