Why watch this? Not
the best of the series, but still a good watch.
Plot Summary:
In their second year at Hogwarts, Harry, Ron, and Hermione
discover that the legendary Chamber of Secrets has been opened,
leading to students being attacked and petrified. As mysterious
voices haunt the castle, a message in blood appears, warning of
the heir of Slytherin and the chamber's evil contents. To save
Hogwarts from closing, the trio bravely investigates the
unfolding events, confronting dangerous creatures and uncovering
a secret from the school's dark past.
Dad's Preview:
This film, directed by Chris Columbus, though overlong, takes
its time to get where it's going. It allows our central
characters to hone their acting skills. We are introduced to two new
characters: Gilderoy Lockhart and the CGI-created Dobby, a
house-elf trying to protect Harry. We learn more about Tom
Riddle, who may be someone important. Finally, this film will
make your skin crawl if you are afraid of spiders and/or snakes.
