				"I understand why you don't
trust us, but even as we speak, many are dying because of
				Godzilla.
Many of them are good people, but even bad people have
a right to live." - Junko Nakanishi, pleading to the fairy
				twins for Mothra's help
				Why watch this? A
mysterious gigantic egg washes ashore, and Godzilla wants an
				omelet.
				Plot Summary:
A giant egg is discovered off the coast of Japan after a
typhoon. Two tiny twin fairies, the Shobijin, reveal that the
egg belongs to Mothra and that if not returned, a destructive
larva will emerge. When Godzilla attacks Japan, the humans must
convince the elderly Mothra to fight him despite the greedy
actions of unscrupulous businessmen exploiting the egg. Dad's Preview:
The Japanese love their huge insect-god, Mothra, introduced in
1961. She is their symbol of protection
against the outside world and man's constant war-making. In this film, we
root for her and her massive egg. Godzilla, a product of atomic
				radiation,
immediately attacks the egg. Mothra defends it with all she can
				muster to stop Godzilla's
brutal onslaught. This is a fine
entry in the early series where Godzilla was a menace, and no
				friend to
				anyone.
