"I have no pride left
in me. What I do now, I do for my people and for Camelot. And
may they forgive me. This is my last act as your king. Do not be
afraid. All things change." -
King Arthur
Why watch this?
This is the hidden story of Camelot, you know, the whole
Lancelot thing. Plot
Summary: This tale centers on the legendary love
triangle between King Arthur of Camelot, the valiant
wandering warrior Lancelot, and the beautiful Lady
Guinevere of Leonesse. Guinevere is betrothed to King
Arthur, whose kingdom offers protection to her lands,
but a fateful encounter with Lancelot sparks a forbidden
passion between them. As the romantic turmoil unfolds,
the kingdom faces threats from a rebellious knight,
Malagant, forcing the characters to choose between
personal desires and loyalty, duty, and honor.
Dad's Preview:
I really enjoyed this take on King Arthur's story. The cast is
top notch. Frankly, it was a struggle for me to buy Richard Gere
as Lancelot, but the filmmakers sure tried hard to convince me.
This film introduced me to Julia Ormond and she is amazing.
Connery excels as the war-weary King, tired of fighting, bitter
about a life he could have had. The stunts and action are
well-done. If you want to woo your date tonight and crave a
medieval, lusty love triangle movie, this one is for you.
