"Isn't this religious, ah
yes. The eternal battle between good and evil, saint and
sinners...
but you're still not having any FUN!"–
Castor Troy
Why watch this?
It's entertaining to watch Travolta and Cage battle with
each other.
Plot Summary:
FBI agent Sean Archer is in relentless pursuit of terrorist
Castor Troy, who tragically killed Archer's son years prior.
Archer eventually corners Troy, but discovers he has planted a
bomb, the location of which is known only to Troy's incarcerated
brother, Pollux. To infiltrate the prison and extract the
information, Archer undergoes an experimental procedure to
surgically assume Troy's face and voice.
Dad's Preview:
You will love this effort from filmmaker John Woo. Sure, a
lot of liberties are taken with the concept of facial
transplants, but just go with it. Travolta and Cage, one an
agent, one a psychotic criminal, end up with switched faces. The result is two
over-the-top performances that can either make or break a film -
here it works. There are a lot of laughs in this fast-paced, action
movie, all the way to
the brutal end.
