The Most Horrific Dracula Film Ever Made - and HAMMER say so!

Film ClipStarring: Christopher Lee, Rupert Davies, Veronica Carlson, Barbara Ewing, Barry Andrews, Ewan Hooper, Marion Mathie, Michael Ripper, John D. Collins, George A. Cooper

DML Rating: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆ - good

"Count Dracula - is alive. During the hours of darkness, she must never be left alone. You understand that? Not for one moment must you leave her side." - Monsignor Ernest Mueller

Why watch this? Hammer always stayed true to Christopher Lee as the bloodthirsty prince of darkness.

Plot Summary: After the famed vampire's death, a local priest and his Monsignor attempt to exorcise Dracula's castle. However, the priest inadvertently brings the count back to life becoming his servant. Seeking revenge against the Monsignor, Dracula targets his beautiful niece, Maria. Her atheist boyfriend, Paul, must find a way to protect his love from the determined Dracula, who has tasted her blood.

Dad's Preview: There is a guarantee from Britain's Hammer films: the sets will be gothic, the music spectacularly dramatic, and the mood will be creepy. Again Mr. Lee dons the Count's cape and fangs, this time set on draining all the blood out of a Monsignor's beautiful niece. The unique twist here is Dracula's mental enslavement of the local priest, ala Renfield in the original Dracula novel. The supporting cast is very good, but there's no count like Christopher Lee, bloodshot eyes and all.
