Why watch this? It
lacks the original's epic-ness, but there are still some good
moments.
Plot Summary: The
mighty Conan is tasked with escorting a princess and her
bodyguard on a perilous quest to retrieve a powerful magical
artifact, the jeweled horn of Dagoth. He joins forces with a
cunning thief, a wise wizard, and a formidable female warrior.
Together, they face numerous challenges, including ancient
traps, powerful wizards, and the threat of betrayal.
Dad's Preview:
This sequel to Conan the Barbarian feels very much like the
first film, based on the graphic stories by Texas pulp writer
Robert E. Howard. It tries to be a little too funny at times,
which really detracts from the overall effect. The stunts and
action scenes are pretty impressive, and I really felt the final
quarter of the movie successfully created the atmosphere put
forth in the original Conan novels.
