"Oh, no. No, it isn't true. It's just no use. No use at all. I can't believe. Not anymore. There's nothing left to believe in. Nothing." - Cinderella

Why watch this? Want a fantastical rags-to-riches story? This is ground-zero.

Plot Summary: Forced into servitude by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, kind-hearted Cinderella maintains hope with the help of her animal friends. When a royal ball is announced, her fairy godmother magically intervenes, allowing her to attend despite her family's sabotage. She captures the Prince's heart but must flee by midnight, leaving behind a single glass slipper that the Prince uses to find her.

Dad's Preview: This time-honored Disney classic story, hatched in a 1689 fairytale by Charles Perrault, populated of dreams of many a young lady. At the time of its release, Walt Disney badly needed a hit. This delivered, performing as big as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), and it saved the studio. It is both a dramatic musical and a children's delight. There is an evil Stepmother and a magical fairy godmother. There's a handsome prince and wise-cracking mice, who help our little soot girl find her way. Special attention was paid to add depth to central and secondary characters alike. The animation style is classic Disney, as only they could do in those days. It will do us all a little good to remember, never give up on your dreams.
