				"If the core is
exposed for whatever reason, the fuel heats beyond core heat
tolerance in a matter of minutes. Nothing can stop it. And it
melts down right through the bottom of the plant, theoretically
				to China." - Dr. Lowell
				Why watch this? This
intense thriller, centered on a nuclear power plant, will shock you.
				Plot Summary:
When a news TV reporter and her cameraman witness an "event" at
a California nuclear plant, it appears that there's more to the
story than the owning company will admit. They reach out to
shift supervisor Jack Godell, who admits that x-ray scans of
welds were falsified to keep the plant running under cost. Dad's Preview:  This
movie builds to a jaw-dropping climax, thanks to a compelling
subject, and superb performances by Fonda, Douglas and the
wonderful Jack Lemmon. Ironically, Three Mile Island's Unit 2
reactor would partially melt down the same year this film was
released. I am sure there are many appropriate times and places
to cut costs. However, a nuclear plant should not be one of
				them.
