Plot Summary:
A group of scientists investigates a mysterious "sea monster"
that's been attacking ships. They discover that the "monster" is
actually the Nautilus, a futuristic submarine piloted by
the enigmatic Captain Nemo. After being captured, they journey
across the seas with Nemo, experiencing the wonders and dangers
of the underwater world.

The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights as a kid.
James Mason portrays the mysterious Captain Nemo and a young Kirk
Douglas provides the meat of the action and acting.
There is a definite steam punk aesthetic to
Nemo's ships and inventions. However, the giant squid is the real star
- its
special effects were something to behold, and at
that time, unequaled. |
