Services for Tommy S. Windham, 65,
of Athens are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster & Brown Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry McAden officiating. Burial will follow
at Shelby Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Windham died May 16, 1999, at his residence.
He was born April 11, 1934, in Oplin to Sam and Pearl Watson Windham and
was a member of Bois D'Arc Baptist Church. Mr. Windham married Gwyn
McAden in June, 1959. He was a retired truck driver, owner and operator
of the Windham Transportation Company and lived in Athens for 35 years,
moving to the area from West Texas. Mr. Windham was successful in the
registered Yorkshire Hog Industry and showed a grand champion Yorkshire
Barrow of the World Series of Swine in Austin, Minn. Mr. Windham was an
avid collector and breeder of exotic waterfowl and a loving and caring
grandfather.
Mr. Windham is survived by his wife, Gwyn Windham of Athens; daughter
and son-in-law, Christi Lyn and Thomas Goodell of Athens; son and
daughter-in-law, Dusty and Stacie Windham of Athens; grandchildren,
Stormi Kugle, Kelsey Windham, Hannah Windham and Sunni Goodell, all of
Athens; one future grandchild; and brother, Billy Ray Windham of Oplin.
Pallbearers will be Jason McAden, Greg McAden, Jimmy Mitchell, Jerry
Wright, Mike Davidson and Dewayne Phillips.

Hal Dean Windham Hal Dean Windham,
59, of Oplin, died Friday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Tecumseh Cemetery with
Paige Baize officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.
Mr. Windham was born in Oplin and married Brenda Ray in 1960 in Baird.
He farmed and ranched in Callahan County and was a member of the Church
of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Oplin; one son, Jeff Windham of Valley
Mills; one daughter, Tammy Jo Windham of Valley Mills; three brothers,
Robert Windham of Eula, Billy Ray Windham of Oplin and Tommy Windham of
Athens, Texas; and one grandchild.

J. D. Windham was
died from injuries sustained when the car he
was riding in
overturned. J. D. Windham was thrown from the car and flew into a nearby barbed-wire fence.
He bled to death before help could arrive. The accident also
occurred on FM Road 604, so he became the third brother to die on that
road. He was 15. -
On J. D.'s death
certificate, his mother lists "Sam D. Windham" as his father.
