  • Bill Spargo Sr. was Sergeant, Btry F 308, Field Artillery during World War I.  He was then a U.S. Forest Ranger.

  • Billy Spargo served in the Korean War. After that he was a Chemist for over 30 years. It appears that he and his wife Norma did not have children.

  • Eli Windham was born in Tecumseh, CallCtyTX.  He died at age 66 and is buried in Sonora, CA. Sarah died in Richmond, CA and is supposedly buried at Tecumseh Cemetery.

    Funeral services will be held at the Brunscher-Connolly chapel tomorrow at 2 p.m. for Jesse E. Windham, 66, who died Sunday in Sonora, where he was residing with his daughter, Mrs. Ione Spargo. Windham resided in Martinez and Richmond before going to Sonora following the death of his wife, Sarah Windham, last March.

    Besides his daughter, he leaves a son, Hillary Windham of Richmond, and a grandson, William E. Spargo of Sonora.

    Rev. Donald F. Gaylord of the Congregational church will officiate at the last rites and interment will be in he Alhambra cemetery.
     
  • Eli and Sarah lived in Callahan County, Texas before moving to Redding, CA, where they lived for about 40 years. Eli was a dealer in scrap iron and a trucker.
