Norberto Leon Arroyo, 90, died Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at his home in Morton, Cochran County, Texas. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2022, at the Tecumseh Cemetery in Callahan County, Texas, with Andy Dally officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home in Clyde.

Norberto was born April 11, 1932, in Peubla, Mexico, to Jose Arroyo and Josephina Sanchez Leon Arroyo. Norberto grew up and attended school in Mexico. He served in the Mexican Army from age 17 to 20. He married Reba Ann Durham on April 29, 1968, in Ysleta, Texas. He was very proud of becoming a naturalized American citizen in in the early 1980’s. He and Reba moved to Clyde from El Paso in 1986. After the death of his wife, Norberto moved back to El Paso in 2001, then moved to Morton in 2019 to live near his daughter. Norberto was an independent entrepreneur and was a member of the Catholic Church.

Norberto is survived by one son, Robert Arroyo and wife Judy Zapien of San Diego, California; three daughters, Rina Ramos and husband Edward of Morton, Irma Garcia of Canutillo, Texas and Olga Flor Parra Luna and husband Alberto Rodriguez Duenez of Juarez, Mexico; six grandchildren, Emanuel Alberto Rodriguez, Ana Michel Parra Salinas, Ricardo Parra Salinas, Grey Ramos and wife Samantha, Michael Ramos and his betrothed Cheyenne Green, and Isaac Banks and wife Destiny.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Josephina; his wife, Reba Arroyo; one brother; one sister; and one son, Ricardo Parra Luna.
