Straley's obit: A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born in Eggleston on July 11th, 1916, and was the daughter of the late Charles French and Georgia Walker Straley. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John D. Straley and Charles Chapman Straley; a sister, Margaret Louise Straley; a nephew, Gerald B. Straley; and several cousins. Lillian lived in a little house joining the family farm most of her adult life, caring for her parents and sister during their declining years, along with her chickens, cats and dogs.
