BAIRD - Funeral for prominent Baird and Oplin rancher, Ernest Richard Windham,
will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday from the Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. B.
B. Terry, Eastland Baptist pastor, and the Rev. Homer Sally, pastor of the First
Methodist Church here, will officiate. Internment will be in Ross Cemetery at
Baird.
Born June 19, 1900 in Oplin, he had been a rancher all his life in the Baird
and Oplin area.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Richard of Baird; two daughters, Mrs.
Laura Mae Yarborough of Lubbock, Mrs. Don McLaughlin of Liberal, Kan.; two
brothers, Frank of Baird and Tom Jr. of Oplin; two sisters, Mrs. John Jordan,
and Mrs. Charlie Straley, both of Oplin; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will he Jack Sims, Blan Odom, Harold Hass, M. L. Hughes, A. E.
Dyer Jr., James Snyder, Glenn Elliott, all of Baird, and Jack McCanlis of Moran.
