Walter McBride
TUSCOLA (RNS) - Walter P. McBride, 72, longtime resident and farmer and rancher in the Rogers community, died suddenly Sunday morning following an apparent heart attack while feeding his stock.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Oplin Church of Christ with the minister, Dan Burrow, officiating and David Koffman, Novice minister, assisting.

Burial will be in Oplin Cemetery under the direction of Fry Funeral Home of Tuscola.

Mr. McBride was born March 6, 1897, in Brown County and married Lydia J. Jones Oct. 16, 1911, in Brownwood.

He moved from Brownwood to Oplin in 1914, where he operated a grocery store before moving first to Abilene and then to the Lawn area. He farmed in the Rogers community. He was a retired fanner.

Survivors include his wife; one son, C. C. McBride; two daughters, Mrs. Austin Sanders of Coleman and Mrs. Jack May of Ovalo; two brothers, Joe of Brownwood and Sam of Abilene; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Roberson
and Mrs. Pearl Mitchell, both of Abilene, and Mrs. Nata Pentecost of Lawn; eight grand children.
Pallbearers will be Glen Swor, Robert E. Windham, Loyd Steakley, Ed Graham, Kenneth Preston and Zelma Ray.
