Mrs. Claudia Looney Bailey, 83
Mrs. Claudia Looney Bailey, age 83, of Dallas died Saturday, May 4, 2002 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a. m. today (Tuesday) at the Oplin Cemetery with Rev. D. G. Allen officiating. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Home.

Born June 28, 1918 in Oplin, Texas, she was the daughter of Dr. A. D. Looney and Ida Culpepper Looney. She and G. T. (Tol) Bailey were married on November 23, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada. A graduate of Oplin High School, McMurry College and the University of Southern California, she had been a resident of Dallas since 1954. She was a member and secretary of Xi Chi, a member of the O.E.S. and a lifetime member of the Methodist Church. She was a retired memorial secretary for Xi Chi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and three sisters. Survivors include one sister, Pauline Gwin of Brownwood; three nieces, Laudys Armor Pittard of Novice, Maurine Gwin Moore of Brady and Deanna Wilkerson Ratzow of Bowie, Maryland; and one nephew, John Hubert Gwin.
