| Funeral Set Sunday For Oplin Resident |

BAIRD, April 6 — Funeral for William Lafayette Atwood, 67, Oplin resident for
the past 44 years, will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Oplin Baptist church.
The Rev. J. R. Boone, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. M. F.
Richardson of Abilene, former pastor. Burial will be in the Oplin cemetery under direction of Wylie funeral home of Baird. Mr. Atwood died Friday afternoon at the Callahan county hospital. Mr. Atwood was born Feb. 16, 1879, in Cottonwood. Survivors are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. John Roberson of San Antonio and Mrs. Ernest Gwin of Oplin; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Dan and Ford Atwood of Rising Star; and one sister, Mrs. Jenny Brock of Seattle, Wash. |
