Ex-West Texan's Funeral at Oplin
TUSCOLA, Dec. 24. — Funeral was scheduled at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Oplin Baptist Church for Thomas Orval Atwood. 42, who died Tuesday following a heart attack on a downtown street in Victoria.

Burial will be in an Oplin Cemetery. Fry Funeral Home of Tuscola is in charge of arrangements.

Born at Cross Plains on Sept. 29, 1910, he lived in Callahan County until 1942 when he moved to Victoria. He was employed in the West Texas oil fields most of his life.

Survivors include three children, Howard and Ronnie Atwood and Bonnie Atwood, all of Victoria; one sister, Mrs. Edgar Taylor of Fort Stockton, Tex.; three, brothers, M. H. Atwood of Oplin, N. L. of Lawn and Glen of Abilene.
