Shelby Jean Straley

MARION, Va. - Shelby Jean Straley, 70, went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 11, 2013, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

She was born in Princeton, W.Va. and was preceded in death by her father, Charles Goodlow Straley. Survivors include one son, Joseph Edward Straley of Marion, Va.; mother, Opal Moore Straley of Chilhowie, Va.; brother, George Edward Straley and wife, Betty Austin Straley; two grandchildren, Opal Lynn Straley and Charles Thurlow Straley, both of Christiansburg, Va.; two nephews, Charles Edward Straley of Dublin, Va., Anthony Dillon Henley of Marion, Va.; one great- niece, Angel Fuller and husband, Ryan, of Chester, Va.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the fourth floor nurses and aides at Johnson City Medical Center for the care given to our mother, daughter and sister. Thank you very much. Funeral services will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Randy Taylor and Brian Taylor officiating.
