  • When Vernon died he was living in Alligator, BoliCtyMS, and he was married. His wife, Eleanor, was the informant on his death certificate. His occupation is listed as "farm manager".  He was single until age 45 in 1950, and I can find no evidence that he had children.

  • From Find-a-Grave: "Charlie Mack was a newsreel cameraman for News of the Day, and later CBS News, as well as a founding member of the National Press Photographer's Association. He was Ed Murrow's favorite cameraman and filmed some of CBS's most famous stories - The McCarthy Hearings, Christmas in Korea and Harvest of Shame, to name a few.

  • I am a little confused regarding the absence of William E. Durham Jr. on the 1920 Census. I thought that Will Ellen and Will Jr. were the same person, until I learn that they are in fact siblings. The family on the 1920 census was split between two pages and Will Jr. was probably just accidentally left out.
