Notes:

David H. Durham was a blacksmith. On his death certificate, the informant, Logan Durham, lists "Jane Allen" as this mother, but that cannot be correct because Harrison did not marry Jane Allen until 1859. Matilda and Jane cannot be the same "Allen girl" because their birthdates are so far apart. It is possible that Logan did not know who David's mother was for sure.

Oscar Durham was a Sgt. for the US Army in the Spanish American War.

Logan Durham was a retired farmer and carpenter. Mary (Stout) Durham's parents were William P. Stout and Jennie Dixon. For many years, she and her husband operated the Alamance County Home.

Clifford Durham's grave marker specifies "Late Sergeant 118th Co. C.A.C. US Army" and that he died at Ft. Bayard, NM.

Allen J. Marshburn's parents were Obed Marshburn and Julia Dixon.

Harrison H. Durham was a 1st Sgt, 19th Inf. 18th Division during World War I.
