  • There was once an excellent website on A. P. Durham called Personal History of Allen Pinckney Durham by David Byron Kimball.  Within he notes that A. P. Durham was also called "Apple Pie" by his friends. He was regarded as the greatest Gospel preacher in Louisiana, and he helped found the Louisiana College in Pineville as a Baptist seminary.
