Plot Summary: In 1888 London, amidst the poverty-stricken streets of Whitechapel, a series of gruesome murders targeting prostitutes grips the city. Dad's Preview: This film is set in the deplorable city slums of 1888 London. Prostitutes are being murdered in the most gruesome of ways. A young inspector, Abberline, is called in to investigate and find the brutal killer. I do so love grimy period films. Incidentally, the real-life Ripper was never caught. This film is eerie, suspenseful, and truly frightening.
