Why watch this? It lacks the original's epic-ness, but there are still some good moments.

Plot Summary: The mighty Conan is tasked with escorting a princess and her bodyguard on a perilous quest to retrieve a powerful magical artifact, the jeweled horn of Dagoth. He joins forces with a cunning thief, a wise wizard, and a formidable female warrior. Together, they face numerous challenges, including ancient traps, powerful wizards, and the threat of betrayal.
 

Dad's Preview: This sequel to Conan the Barbarian (1982) feels very much like the first film, based on the graphic sword and sorcery tales spun by Texas pulp writer Robert E. Howard. This action-adventure tries to be a little too funny at times, which really detracts from the overall effect (the Malak character is weak at best). That stated, the stunts and action scenes are pretty impressive, and I really felt the final quarter of the movie successfully created the atmosphere put forth in the original Conan novels.
