"I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days." - Crash Davis

Why watch this? It's a great sports romance; Sarandon and Costner are at their best.

Dad's Review: True, this is a baseball movie, but it's really about two baseball veterans. One is a past-his-prime catcher, Crash, who is tasked with mentoring a new, hot-shot pitcher, Nuke. The other is the team's "new pitcher" mistress, Annie, whose duty is to take on Nuke and make sure he is romantically satisfied. The flick's fun is watching these two veterans wise up and find their way each other. At my house: "We go for the Durham Bulls!"
